Kindergarten

Kindergarten at Parkland Village School is a very active and productive learning program with a strong emphasis on play and discovery, as we know that play is the work of young children.

Kindergarten students develop independence, self-control, cooperation, routines and good work habits, all of which are critical to their success. Through this play-based, experiential approach, students are also exposed to the foundational literacy and numeracy skills that will help them thrive as they move into Grade 1.

Please remember that you are and always will be your child's first and most important teacher. When your child is enrolled in our Kindergarten program, we work with you toward common goals to ensure their success.

To be eligible for Kindergarten, children must be five years of age by December 31 of the year they enter the program.
